Your content, on a browser screen.

UrbanLoop Web Player is a browser-based digital signage player connected to UrbanLoop Signage. Use it for a reception display, an information screen, a menu or a product playlist on a device with a suitable browser.

The player displays the content. The management app is where you link screens, organize media and assign playlists. You can manage your content from the web dashboard or the UrbanLoop management apps.

Bring the right mix to the screen.

Images and video

Show product images, promotions, menus and video clips in your assigned playlists.

Calendars and feeds

Display calendar information and RSS content alongside your other playlist items.

Supported web content

Include website content that the source and playback browser allow. Check access and rendering on the intended device.

Media codecs, source permissions and browser restrictions affect what can play. A page that requires a private sign-in or blocks display in another site may need a different approach. Test the actual content before installing the screen.

Start with one screen.

  1. Open the player

Visit player.urbanloop.ai in the browser on your display device.

  2. Link it in UrbanLoop

Use the linking code shown by the player to connect that browser to the intended screen record in your management app.

  3. Assign a playlist

Choose the screen’s playlist in the management app. Check its images, videos and connected sources on the display.

  4. Check the installation

Confirm playback, sound, screen size and recovery after a reload. For an unattended screen, also check the device’s sleep, browser and startup settings.

Choose the browser for the job.

Start your pilot with a current Chrome or Edge browser. Playback depends on the device, browser version, supported media formats and autoplay settings. A successful desktop test does not establish support on every TV browser.

For a TV browser or room installation, try the real device with your full playlist before committing to a rollout. Keeping the display awake, starting the browser after a restart and entering fullscreen may require device-specific setup.

For the native Apple TV option, explore UrbanLoop Signage.

Keep offline expectations practical.

The Web Player can cache eligible downloaded media, such as supported image and video files, for use when the connection drops. Availability depends on browser storage, source access rules and whether the media has finished downloading.

Browser storage can be cleared or reclaimed. Live calendars, RSS updates and website content still depend on connectivity and their sources. Offline media caching is not a promise that a whole website or every playlist item will keep working offline.

Load the playlist while online, then test a network interruption and recovery on the intended device. Keep a dependable connection for content changes and connected sources.

Common questions

Is Web Player the management dashboard?

No. Web Player shows the assigned signage content. Use the management app at app.urbanloop.ai to link screens, prepare content and manage playlists.

Does it work in every browser or smart TV?

Browser and hardware behavior varies. Start with current Chrome or Edge, then test the intended device, full playlist, video formats and autoplay behavior. Contact us before a larger TV-browser or room rollout.

Will it start automatically when the device powers on?

Opening the browser, restoring its page and keeping the screen awake depend on the device and its installation settings. Check startup and recovery on the actual hardware.

Can it play without an internet connection?

Eligible downloaded media may be available from the browser cache, subject to storage and source rules. Live sources and web pages need connectivity. Test your playlist’s offline behavior rather than assuming every item is cached.
