Google Slides on your TVs.

Connect a presentation to UrbanLoop, add it to a playlist, and keep your screen content up to date from Google Slides. Pro accounts support high-quality 4K slide synchronization for sharper text and graphics.

Updated October 15, 2026 · UrbanLoop product guidance

Can you display Google Slides on Apple TV? Yes. Connect a Google Slides presentation in UrbanLoop, add it to a playlist, and assign it to a linked Apple TV. Your TV plays the prepared content while your team keeps editing the source presentation.

Keep your screen content where your team already works.

A familiar presentation can become the noticeboard in a school corridor, the menu beside a counter, or the product information in a showroom. UrbanLoop connects that content to the screens and schedules where it needs to appear.

What you need

  • A Google Slides presentation accessible to the Google account you connect to UrbanLoop.
  • An UrbanLoop management account and a linked Apple TV running the display app.
  • A connected display and internet access for initial setup and refreshed content.

Connect a presentation

  1. Create a slide in UrbanLoop

Open the dashboard or your management app. Go to Slides, create a new slide, and choose Google Slides.

  2. Connect the right Google account

Sign in with the Google account that can open the presentation. For a shared presentation, that account must have access to the file.

  3. Select your presentation

Use Pick a Google Slide, or paste the presentation link in Google Slides URL and choose Confirm. If the Google file picker appears, select the presentation to grant access.

  4. Check the preview and save

Wait for the presentation pages to load. Check the content, set the playback options you need, then save. Use a native Google Slides file; a PowerPoint upload is a different content type.

  5. Add it to the screen’s playlist

Add the saved slide to a playlist, then assign that playlist to the linked TV. Check the actual screen before using it in a public space.

Google Slides synchronization in 4K

UrbanLoop supports high-quality 4K Google Slides capture and synchronization on Pro accounts. Enable the 4K option in the Google Slides form, then save. It is useful for menus, detailed information, and presentations with small text.

The service prepares high-resolution presentation pages at approximately 4K resolution. Use a capable Apple TV 4K and a 4K display to take advantage of that detail. An initial preview may be lower resolution while the high-quality pages are being prepared.

Edit in Google Slides. Refresh on your screens.

UrbanLoop refreshes connected presentations so changes can reach active TVs without re-uploading a new file each time. Refresh timing depends on the account, connection, and whether the TV is active; it is not an instant live mirror of the editing window.

UrbanLoop prepares display-ready presentation pages for playback. Test embedded video, animation, fonts, and other presentation effects on your actual screen rather than assuming they will behave exactly like a presentation running in a browser.

Keep the display in mind. Use large text, strong contrast, and a slide size that matches the screen’s orientation. Put one clear message on each page and allow enough time to read it.

Sharing and access

You do not need to make a presentation public simply to connect a file your Google account can access. Use the Google sign-in and file-selection flow in UrbanLoop. A Google Workspace administrator may need to approve the integration under your organization’s access policy.

Give your team access in Google Slides as appropriate, and connect an account that will continue to have access. If ownership, sharing, or account permissions change, reconnect or reselect the presentation in UrbanLoop.

Common questions

Does Google Slides synchronization support 4K?

Yes. Pro accounts can enable the 4K option for high-quality slide capture. For a full 4K viewing setup, use a capable Apple TV 4K and 4K display.

Do I have to publish the presentation to the web?

The connection uses your Google account and access to the selected presentation. Publishing it publicly is not the normal setup step.

Can I use the same presentation on several TVs?

Yes. Add the connected slide to playlists used by the relevant TVs. Screen assignment and scheduling are managed in UrbanLoop; Google Slides remains the source for the presentation itself.

Can it play alongside images and videos?

Yes. A playlist can include the connected presentation and other supported content. Set the order, duration, and schedule to suit the screen.

Why are my changes not showing?

Check the Google account and sharing permissions, confirm that the slide is in the playlist assigned to the TV, and make sure the display app is active and connected. Open the Google Slides form and try Refresh Slides. Allow the refresh cycle to finish before checking again.

Can I upload a PowerPoint file instead?

The Google Slides connector expects a native Google Slides presentation. Use the supported document workflow for a PowerPoint file, or convert it to Google Slides in Google Drive and connect that presentation.
