UrbanLoop Signage · Product updates

Keep the editing in Google Slides.

Small changes to presentation selection and synchronization make a difference when a team updates announcements throughout the week.

This story revisits the 15.3 announcement from the product’s EZTV / EZ Plus history. The examples and linked guides reflect current UrbanLoop guidance.

What the 15.3 update focused on.

The 15.3 announcement introduced a Google Slides picker and improvements to synchronization and playback. The picker lets the person setting up signage browse for a presentation rather than depend only on copying its URL.

Once the presentation is connected, staff can keep editing the source in Google Slides. UrbanLoop processes those edits and delivers updated slide images to the TVs. That removes repeated export and upload steps from everyday presentation changes.

Give a team one presentation to maintain.

A church welcome team could keep upcoming gatherings, volunteer notices and room information in a shared presentation. The signage manager connects that deck and assigns it to foyer screens. Volunteers update the source using their existing Google access.

Agree who checks dates and removes old announcements. Keep the text readable at a distance and make the next step clear, such as a room name or a place to ask for details. See signage for churches and community spaces for planning the wider screen routine.

Allow time for the whole update.

Saving a deck and showing a new version on a TV are separate steps. Synchronization, image processing and the player’s download all take time. The older announcement emphasized faster updates; it should not be read as a guaranteed delivery time for every deck or network.

For an important change, edit one slide, check the presentation preview and confirm the result on a fresh screen capture or the physical display. If it does not update, review account access, playlist assignment and the TV connection before repeatedly reconnecting the source.

Today’s 4K option is a separate capability.

Current UrbanLoop Google Slides synchronization supports 4K slide capture on Pro. This is current product guidance, not a claim that 4K support first shipped in 15.3.

Higher-resolution capture helps preserve fine text and detail. The presentation’s shape and design still matter, and actual 4K output needs a compatible Apple TV, display and connection. Check the final result from the viewing distance, rather than relying only on a laptop preview.

Connect a presentation and check it.

The current Google Slides guide covers presentation selection, access, 4K capture and troubleshooting. Use content schedules when different presentations should be eligible at different times.

For a team that keeps images, videos and documents together, Drive folder sync offers another source workflow.
