Help people feel welcome and know what is happening.
Keep service information, community events, and everyday notices useful across your church’s screens.
How can a church use UrbanLoop? Show welcome messages, announcements, event calendars, and useful information on Apple TV displays, with playlists and schedules that suit each space.
Make the next step easy to find.
Welcome areas
Greet visitors with service times, directions, and practical information about what happens next.
Maintain welcome slides →Fellowship and shared spaces
Show upcoming gatherings, community meals, youth activities, and ways to volunteer.
Show upcoming events →Hallways and meeting areas
Keep room notices, group schedules, and community updates visible where people pass or wait.
Plan the timing →A screen near the entrance serves a different purpose from one in a meeting room. Keep the content specific to the space and give each message enough time to be read.
Keep announcements easy to maintain.
Use Google Slides for announcements the office or volunteers already know how to edit. Add supported images, documents, and videos, or connect a Drive folder where that fits your account and workflow.
Use Google Calendar for shared event information. Review the connected account, visible events, and date range before putting the view on a public display.
Keep an owner for each source. A connected slide can update when its source changes, but someone still needs to keep the details accurate and check the screen.
Plan for services, weekdays, and special events.
Use slide and playlist schedules to show the right welcome before a service, notices during a weekday gathering, and reminders ahead of a special event. Set an end date for seasonal announcements.
Assign several playlists to one TV when it helps separate regular notices from service or event content. Review each playlist’s rules and its slides so the intended messages are eligible at the right time.
Use power-save schedules for planned off-hours and check that the screen resumes content before the next gathering. For background music or video, review themes and audio behavior in the actual room.
Share the work with clear responsibilities.
Use sites and curator access to organize locations or areas and the people responsible for their content. For a multi-site church, keep shared announcements together and make local details easy to identify.
Use TV groups for screens that need shared settings. Check which TVs are selected before applying a group update. A volunteer changing a foyer announcement should be able to tell where that change will appear.
Build a routine that volunteers can follow.
Set up one screen
Follow the Apple TV setup guide and assign a small playlist for a real location.
Check a full rotation
Review text size, service details, event dates, video sound, and the time given to each announcement.
Check before a gathering
Use a fresh remote capture and a physical check when needed. Confirm that the display and the right content are ready.
Review important-message procedures
For manual or feed-triggered alerts, agree who may trigger and clear messages, choose the target screens, and arrange a clearly labeled test.
Start where a useful screen would help most.
Choose one welcome area or shared space, give someone responsibility for its content, and build a routine around keeping it current. UrbanLoop can help plan the setup and content workflow as you add screens.
