The tools behind your everyday screens.

Connect familiar content, plan when it plays, and manage Apple TV displays across the places your business operates.

Updated October 15, 2026 · UrbanLoop product guidance

What does UrbanLoop Signage do? It connects content and schedules to Apple TV screens, with cloud management, connected sources, organization tools, and managed deployment options.

Bring the content you already have.

Build playlists from your files and connected sources. Keep the editing workflow familiar while choosing what belongs on each screen.

Other supported sources include images, videos, documents, website snapshots, RSS/Atom/JSON feeds, and supported YouTube content. Choose formats and source permissions that suit your devices and audience. Weather, news, and other screen elements can be configured for the space.

Match the message to the moment.

Use dates, weekdays, daily time windows, and recurring schedules to make offers and notices relevant to the moment. Schedule individual slides or assigned playlists, and use exclusive windows and priorities when a focused message should take over the regular rotation.

A morning menu, a lunchtime promotion, and an evening event notice can share a screen without sharing the same time slot. Across locations, assign the content and schedules that fit each audience.

Manage screens across your locations.

CapabilityWhat it helps you do
TVs and playlistsAssign the intended content to each display; a TV can use multiple playlists.

Organization rolesLet administrators manage the organization while curators focus on the content and sites they can access.
Remote managementInspect screen status and captures, refresh content, and review playback state from the management app.

Review sites and team access or manage a group of TVs.

Use common content where it makes sense and different versions where the product, audience, offer, or operating hours differ. Screen assignment remains under your team’s control.

Build for everyday playback.

The display app runs on Apple TV. Previously downloaded content can play from its local cache during temporary connectivity interruptions; connected-source updates and remote changes need a working connection.

Configure pacing, order, transitions, and available background audio/video themes for the setting. Separate TV/TV Group power-save schedules can show a blank screen and reduce activity during off-hours. Test content and hardware behavior before leaving a display unattended.

UrbanLoop also supports manually triggered and configured feed-based alerts. Confirm the source, selected screens, and delivery behavior as part of your organization’s communication plan.

Roll out with your existing device management.

Use your Apple TV MDM workflow to install the app and deliver managed configuration. UrbanLoop’s App Config Generator and Auto-Sync connect devices to the intended organization and sites, with a Jamf Pro / Jamf School reference and a one-device pilot workflow.

Choose the software and help you need.

Run UrbanLoop Signage yourself, or work with us on screen content and a managed setup. Software account limits and entitlements are separate from the scope of a creative or installation project.

Pro features highlighted here: Google Drive folder sync and high-quality 4K Google Slides capture. Check your account for availability and contact us to confirm the software plan for your deployment.

The broader UrbanLoop service can help shape content for storefront windows, in-store screens, and different locations. That creative work complements the software and is scoped to the business and placement.

Start with one screen.

Connect one Apple TV, assign a playlist, and check the content at its actual viewing distance. Then add the connected sources, schedules, and deployment tools your team needs.

First-screen setup

Install the app, link your TV, and confirm playback.
